I have mentioned before, the Denver Botanic Gardens has kind of become Chris and my “place”. We visit probably once a month, even in the winter, and the scene is ever changing and almost ALWAYS different. I have been there so many times but seem to find something new to shoot every visit!
This blog is just to showcase our most recent visit this past weekend. Chris, Gabby and I headed out with cameras in hand, on a 96 degree day to mill around. I shot with a film that is known for it’s vibrancy and beautifully saturated colors. I was excited to have that in the camera, and then a second roll that was equally as vibrant, but had a slightly different, but beautiful aesthetic!
With no further ado…here was our day!
succulent lovin - second plant I wanted to photograph after we arrived!
I can never pass up a pretty cactus to shoot!
No joke, this was exactly how brilliant these flowers were!

The mist.... <3
The amount of random wildflowers had my heart!
I've always liked this area of the gardens.
Where did you get those big brown eyes baby girl?
Secret garden...through an open fence...
This tree! Never seen anything like it!
These little houses were all over, and so quaint!
Sitting, looking for Koi.

patterns and light, and of course my favorite GREEN!
These puff balls were beautiful.
My girl...
What attracted me to this was not only the white flowers against the green, but the tiny delicate additions below!
on the move
This was my favorite part of the gardens this trip!
These flowers were a brilliant white (can white be brilliant?) and the green it was up against was wildly gorgeous, different than the other greens around the gardens!
WOW!
The sun was hazy from the fires, and left a beautiful flare when illuminating these golden gems.
My favorites, in the sun!
You can always find a quiet place to sit and reflect!
Naturally I didn’t travel with only one camera, and though the Polaroid would be a necessary second shooter for the day.
I own it, this is a total over share. I was thrilled to pieces about this visit, as I always am lol. I can’t wait to be back in September, for an even MORE fun reason to be revealed then!!!
Thank you for sharing in my joy of all things photo!
Love and health to all!!
